Beautiful deep red leaf lettuce with large frilly savoyed leaves. Centers are bright lite green. Good bolt and heat resistance; white seed.
Cultivation: Lettuce is adaptable to many growing conditions, but likes it cool around 60F-65F. Grow in spring and fall, and slow bolting by shading summer crops. In cool areas sow seeds in spring-early summer after last frost in a sunny location. In temperate areas, sow in spring and fall. In tropical areas, sow year-round. Seeds need light to germinate, so do not plant too deep. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Keep soil moist. Moisture stress and high temperatures encourage bolting. Make succession plantings every week or two.
