Cultivation: For best germination, seed should be stored at 41°F until planted. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in spring/summer after last frost in a warm, sunny location. Or start seeds inside 6 weeks before last frost date (or 8 weeks before expected transplanting date). Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Plants grow well in warm temperatures but can show cold damage if grown below 50 F. Harvest older leaves and pinch back flower buds for continuous leaf production.
Please note: Maturity, adaptability and disease tolerance may differ under your specific climate and/or growing conditions.
Culinary tips: The sprigs and leaves are harvested before blooming and used in cooking, mainly for pasta, meat, vegetables, salads, egg, and rice dishes. Excellent as a microgreen.
