This specialty radish is particularly popular in Japan's home gardens. This slender radish grows 6" long with white flesh and a scarlet colored skin. The flavor is mild.
Cultivation: Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in spring after last frost or in late summer/early fall in a sunny location. Sow successive plantings every 5-10 days until late spring and repeat in late summer. Sowing in the hottest part of summer will result in hot and pithy roots. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed.
Please note: Maturity, adaptability and disease tolerance may differ under your specific climate and/or growing conditions.
