This new red mustard green from Japan is harvested young for salad, braising mixes and for a gourmet garnish. The very dark red color, attractive leaf shape and mildly spicy flavor add depth to these mixes. It retains intense leaf color even in the summer months. Harvest at any stage depending on culinary use from micro-size to full maturity.

Cultivation: Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seed in spring after last frost or in early fall in full sun. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Plant every 2 weeks for continuous harvest. The flavor is best when grown briskly so plant in fertile soil and keep well watered. Start harvesting at 20 days for baby mustard greens.
