This nutritious spinach/mustard hybrid produces beautiful dark green elongated leaves atop very sturdy petioles. Green Boy is very similar to our Summer Fest hybrid komatsuna,
although Japanese growers typically prefer Green Boy due to its greater tolerance for cold temperatures (it can be grown year round in milder climates, while Summer Fest is best sown between March to October). Greenhouse cultivation is recommended during winter season. Green Boy also matures later during winter and matures quickly during warm
temperatures. Apply fertilizer in the early stage for vigorous growth. Green Boy has excellent flavor and is perfect for boiling and pickling.
