This early season French filet bean is also known as haricot vert and is considered a gourmet crop. The straight round beans mature to 5" long and should be picked while they are still tender.
Cultivation: Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in spring/ summer after last frost in a warm, sunny location. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Hand pick. Harvest filet beans when 5" in length and before beans start to bulge in the pods.
Please note: Maturity, adaptability and disease tolerance may differ under your specific climate and/or growing conditions.
