This variety is a medium-early maturing hybrid spinach with good tolerance to high temperature. The upright leaves are deep green, smooth and less pointed and serrated than Okame hybrid spinach. The Samba is resistance to Downy mildew races and has late bolting characteristics. For summer harvest sow seeds in late spring to late summer. The mild tender leaves can be cooked or used fresh for salad.
