 Prik Chi Faa-Thai |
The meaning of this popular Thai pepper is “pointing to the sky.” Prik Chi Faa or Prig Chee Fah peppers are about 3"-4" in length. Warm temperatures seem to produce shorter peppers. These peppers are less spicy than Prik Ki Nue peppers. These peppers have a slight sour taste. Both green and red chilies can be harvested. There are very pronounced taste differences between the two. The peppers add nice color to sauces and can be used fresh for cooking. Mature fruits are best dried as a chili. Start seeds indoors and plant outdoors in late spring after last frost in a warm and sunny location. The seeds can also be sown directly into the soil. Now available for bulk seed purchase. Seed packet purchase will be available in January 2005.
