Prik Ki Nue or Prik Kee Nu is one of the most famous hot peppers of Thailand. This native Thai Bird Pepper is short (about 1”) and plump. They are extremely hot and can really pack a punch. The peppers are considered ripe when red but they also can be eaten when green. The green peppers tend to have an earthier taste and the red peppers tend to have a floral taste. Excellent dried, crushed and used as a condiment for curries, salsas and stir-fries. Start seeds indoors and plant outdoors in late spring after last frost in a warm and sunny location. The seeds can also be sown directly into the soil.
