Cultivation: Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in spring/early summer after last frost in a warm, sunny location. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Warm day temperatures (75-85°F) and cool night temperatures are important for best results. Harvest when soybeans swell in the pod.

Culinary tips: Prepare edamame, a traditional Japanese treat, by boiling fresh pods for 3-4 minutes in salted water and serve them as a healthy appetizer and snack. They are great with beer. Soybeans are rich in protein.
