 Akasanjaku |
Highly prized in Asia because of their sweet, tender pods. This particular variety of yard long bean produces red seeds inside long, light green pods about the diameter of a pencil and 12"-16" in length. These stringless beans thrive in heat. Used most notably in the popular Szechwan dish "dry-fried beans," this bean may be used to replace string beans in any dish, including soups. Cut beans into 2" sections and deep-fry, stir-fry or steam them. Be aware they will cook faster than string beans.
- Approx. 50-60 seeds in packet. (A seed will vary in weight and size within a given seed lot. The number of seeds stated is only an estimate.)
