 Early Fall |
Broccoli-raab or rapini is grown for its thin flower bud shoots, which combine the flavors of mustard greens and broccoli in a vegetable shaped somewhat like asparagus. This early bolting variety prefers a cooler, short day season. Plants grow 18"-24" tall. Enjoy the buds and stems steamed, or sauté them with a bit of olive oil and garlic for a delicious source of vitamins A and C. Use the greens to add some zing to pasta or potato dishes.
