This is a Taiwan variety with 12" long purplish glossy fruit with a green calyx. These eggplants are typically used in stir-fries or boiled. This prolific variety may have as many as 20 fruits per plant. In China, eggplant is popular stir-fried with bean sprouts, peppers and tomatoes.
