This is a Chinese radish with a round shape and a red-colored flesh and green shoulder and is also called watermelon radish. It is juicy and sweet tasting. Harvest when roots reach 3" in diameter. Use for pickling or cooking. Called "beauty heart" in Chinese, it looks lovely in a salad. In Northern China, this radish is carved into various flower shapes for use as a festive garnish.
