Cultivation: Prefers mild and cool temperatures. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in spring after last frost or late summer/early fall (mulch plants heavily for early spring crop). Keep soil consistently moist. Dry soil, long days and warm temperatures encourage bolting. Sow seeds every 1-2 weeks for continuous harvest.
