This "sooyow" type cucumber has 10" long dark green fruit with fine white spines. Highly tolerant to mildew. This hybrid with origins in Northern China has excellent quality fruit and is used for pickling or salads. Chinese cooks cut cubes of very ripe cucumbers and add to soup.
